Foundations
Body shapes, rolls, hand support, alignment and basic inversion skills establish safe movement patterns.
CDA ACRO TUMBLING
Acro Tumbling concentrates on progressive tumbling technique, physical preparation and safe skill development from foundations through advanced work.
ACRO TUMBLING CLASS REQUIREMENT
Acro Tumbling must be taken together with a regular AcroDance / acrobatics class at CDA. A dancer attending Modern Dance may join Acro Tumbling only if they also enrol in and attend an AcroDance / acrobatics class.
TUMBLING FOCUS
Tumbling requires more than repetition. CDA develops the strength, shapes, alignment, flexibility, rebound, power and landing control that allow skills to progress safely and consistently.
Students work at an appropriate level and move forward as the technical foundations become secure.
Body shapes, rolls, hand support, alignment and basic inversion skills establish safe movement patterns.
Physical preparation develops the power and control needed for dynamic tumbling.
Skills are introduced in a structured sequence so technique develops before unnecessary difficulty is added.
Awareness, body position and landing mechanics are trained as seriously as the skill itself.
AFFILIATED TRAINING
CDA’s Acro Tumbling programme is affiliated with Acrobatic Arts and AcroDance SA, complementing both AcroDance and technical acrobatics training.
